www.platetone.org
Plate Tone Printshop is a Fine Art printmaking facility that provides members with access to specialized equipment, as well as access to a network of other working artists. As President of the Board of Directors, I facilitated group meetings for both the board and the general membership, helped coordinate a relocation, oversaw the development of promotional materials and campaigns, chaired events to raise public awareness of the organization, met with Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts about the possibility of trying to become a 501(c)3. I also researched potential grant opportunities, worked with fundraising, and networked with other art organizations to build mutually beneficial relationships.

Off the Wall was a five-member artist collective which held thirteen exhibitions over the course of seven years. The group held meetings on a biweekly basis, acting as a network for support and critique. In 2010 Off the Wall was invited to speak at Nashville’s major art institution, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Group responsibilities included curatorial decisions, show setup, publicity, scouting locations, documentation, and website building.

The Secret Show Series
Member of Curatorial Art Board, 2005 - 2006
The Secret Show Series was a nine-member curatorial organization dedicated to coordinating shows in alternative spaces. The series put together non-commercial exhibitions of conceptually driven work, where the art played against the raw space. The series organized invitational group shows, solo exhibitions, and juried shows. Board responsibilities included artist selection, coordinating artist paperwork, publicity, space prep and cleanup. I was involved in eight shows produced by the Secret Show Series.

310 Chestnut St
Board Member, 2005 - 2006
310 Chestnut St was an alternative art space operated by the nine-member board of the Secret Show Series. The building, a former record-plating factory in Nashville, was used for hosting art shows, concerts, and community events. I worked to help physically build out the space into a gallery, assisted with promotion and visibility, and helped operate the space during and between events.
